Description
Lophophora williamsii, otherwise known as peyote, is a small and slow-growing round spineless cactus with woolly tufts of hair. It is native to Mexico and southwestern Texas and considered an endangered species due to over-harvesting in the wild.
Flowers are normally pink and white and are followed by small edible pink fruits.
Peyote requires hot and humid conditions to germinate. Please see our propagation page for instructions. This species is generally considered self-fertile.
